Our little Kanab Trip...

Hi, today is Memorial day, and Jer and I just returned home from our little Kanab trip. We've ended up going there the past 3 years on this weekend. We usually try to golf at the little golf course there, but it was a little too breezy and cold. But we had fun anyway, and went out to eat, and walked around little shops. A guy we used to know from St. George is developing a new home development that is beautiful, right up against the red Kanab mountains. So, we went through the models. I took a few pictues, I'll see if I can make it work here on the blog. They used to make hundreds of movies back in the 20's in Kanab. We stayed at a an old remodled lodge called "Parry Lodge" where the old time movie stars such as Clark Gable, Marilyn Monroe, Burt Lancaster, etc used to stay. They have pictures of them all over the motel, and each bungalow is named after a famous movie star that stayed there. Pretty cool huh?
